The Main Library will be hosting the Louisiana Reflections art exhibit created by photographer Oscar “Jimmy” Gonzalez from September 26 through October 25. We will be kicking off the exhibit with a reception where you can mingle with the photographer, enjoy light refreshments, and view the photographs. A native of Jeanerette, Louisiana, Gonzalez received a BF degree after majoring in etching and photography. Over the years, he has worked as an archaeological illustrator for institutions in Great Britain, studied photography in Denmark, and worked in several local mills. He then worked as a travel writer and photojournalist for various publications. He is currently a columnist for The Daily Iberian. No registration required.
